1965 was a banner year for the Rolling Stones. Hit after hit came from the group including their first #1… the million seller “Satisfaction” which followed the #9 hit “The Last Time”. The Stones were immensely popular with radio DJ’s as well, and they loved playing B sides of those hits almost as much as the A side. The Last Time’s B side, “Play With Fire” suddenly became a fan favorite and broke into the Hot 100 on it’s own. Although it never cracked the top 40, demand from fans was strong and Play With Fire became a tour song for three years. It also appears on four Stones’ albums. The song has also been featured in TV shows such as “Supernatural”. Today “Play With Fire” has become a forgotten oldie… but it’s a song the older Stones fans will remember fondly!
