Researchers at Mayo Clinic recently studied whether or not dogs should be sleeping in the bedroom with their owners. The study tracked the humans’ and dogs’ sleeping patterns over seven nights and found that having a dog in the bedroom doesn’t seem to disrupt owners’ sleep. However, the study suggests that owners who share their beds with their dog may experience a decrease in sleep quality, depending on the size of the dog, the size of the bed, and the size of the person sleeping with the dog. The study did not address sleeping patterns with a cat in the bedroom. Personally, if I let Zuzu and Jojo the cats in the bedroom with me, I would never get a good night sleep, even with My Pillow!
