You see it every day. Employees wasting time on Facebook or playing solitaire when they should be working. A recent survey of nearly 2,000 office workers say they get less than three hours of actual work done every day. 79% of workers polled admitted to working only 2 hours and 53 minutes of their 8 hour shift. 47% of respondents admitted to wasting company time “checking social media,” while 45% “read news websites” on the boss’s dime. 31% said they wasted time by making hot drinks like coffee and 28% blamed their smoking habit for sucking time out of their work day.
