It’s February 25th, a cold winter morning. You’ve probably had cabin fever for two or three weeks by now. So you bundled up the family and went to the La Crosse Center for Family Fest. You’ve had a great time, the kids have loved it, and now it’s time for… ICE CREAM. What? In February, ice cream? Of course, what better treat for the family after a few hours indoors with your coat on?
Okay, the last paragraph was a look into your future. But everything is a very real possibility. The Onalaska Dairy Queen has been a big part of Family Fest every year since the beginning. And even better, all the Onalaska DQ’s proceeds from Family Fest go to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. And that means dollars for kids in our area, the money stays local. Plus your one dollar donation gets you a Dilly Bar. Your five dollar donation gets you a coupon book for the Onalaska DQ with fifty dollars in free treats and savings on ice cream cones, dilly bars, blizzards, and food too. Plus several of the area’s beautiful pageant winners/title holders are at the Dairy Queen booth handing out ice cream samples. Last year the Onalaska DQ raised over $1300.00 for CMNH at Family Fest, and $15,680.00 for their fundraising efforts during the year which also includes Miracle Treat Day.
So, now you have more great reasons to bring the family to Family Fest… ice cream for your kids, and donations for the kids of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It just doesn’t get any better than that!
