According to new research, anti-bacterial wipes aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. Apparently within 20 minutes of wiping, colonies of harmful microscopic bacteria will be back. Because some bacteria can divide every 20 minutes, it doesn’t take long for one cell to become one million. So what will kill the microbes? Scrubbing surfaces with good old-fashioned bar soap! Apparently bar soap breaks down cell walls, killing them permanently. So does this mean that stores will now provide bar soap to wipe down the handles on their shopping carts?
