In 1966, Nancy Sinatra released a record called “These Boots Are Made For Walking”. The song, written by Lee Hazelwood, was a smash hit around the world, hitting #1 in six countries simultaneously, including the USA. The song has been covered literally by hundreds of artists, from Megadeth to Ella Fitzgerald… heavy metal to big band… amazing. And Nancy promoted the song, appearing on many, many TV shows and always singing her hit song in a mini skirt and iconic white leather boots. Unfortunately, the song moved to the novelty category and became (you guessed it) another for gotten oldie.
