No, I’m not kidding. It really is International Nose Picking Day. It’s even listed on the international holiday list at wikipedia.com. And supposedly this holiday has been celebrated for many years annually on April 23rd. And officially, nose picking is defined as the act of using a finger to remove dried nasal mucus or other foreign bodies from your nose (medically referred to as rhinotillexus).
According to gone-ta-pott.com, a 1995 research study claims 91% of people in the study admitted to picking their nose, and 75% believe everybody does it. As a matter of fact, two respondents claimed to spend between 15 to 30 minutes and one to two hours picking their noses. So have some fun with this, organize a party at work and give away boxes of tissue as prizes… just be real careful that you don’t let yourself get caught picking your nose on camera!
