According to a recent AAA study, deaths from hit-and-run crashes in the U.S. are at an all-time high. 2,049 people were killed in 2016 — 62% more than in 2009. Most of the victims of fatal hit-and-run collisions were pedestrians or cyclists. There is some good news though. Minnesota was among the states that ranked the lowest in hit-and-run deaths. The most dangerous time for peds is between midnight and 4 a.m.
