Sir Paul is now Companion of Honour

Friday, Sir Paul McCartney received the “Companion of Honour” award for his many contributions to music.  The award was presented at Buckingham Palace on Friday May 4th.  Accompanied by wife, Nancy Shevell, the ex-Beatle, ex-Wings member joins a list of very distinguished past recipients that includes Stephen Hawking, Judi Dench and J.K. Rowling.  Sir Paul was knighted 21 years ago, and received his M.B.E. in 1966.  He’s also in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (twice) and has received 18 Grammy Awards.

Is there anything he hasn’t accomplished?
