Betty White is on her way to late night television. People.com reports that the famed actress is confirming that she'll host an upcoming episode of "Saturday Night Live." The 88-year-old has been championed by Facebook enthusiasts as a perfect host for the NBC comedy show for several weeks.

Exiled On Main Street again

Keith Richards is talking about the Rolling Stones' plans for 2010. The band will reissue its 1972 classic "Exile On Main Street" this May, featuring ten never-before-released tracks. The rocker also shot down talk that he'd stopped drinking, saying, quote, "Listen, the rumors of my sobriety are greatly exaggerated."
Universal Music Group will release a reissue of "Exile On Main Street" by the Rolling Stones on May 18th.

Scott Caan is joining the cast of the updated "Hawaii Five-O" according to HollywoodReporter.com. The actor will play Danny "Danno" Williams. On the CBS drama, "Danno" reports to Steve McGarrett, the character immortalized by Jack Lord in the late 1960s original. Alex O'Laughlin plays McGarrett in the updated "Five-Oh." Also in the cast for the crime drama set in Paradise is "Lost" actor Daniel Dae Kim, who will play Detective Chin Ho Kelly.

Alice In Wonderland

Director Tim Burton is back with the 3-D fantasy feature "Alice In Wonderland," which opens nationwide on Friday. Mia Wasikowska stars as a 19-year-old Alice, who finds herself back in Wonderland with a new destiny. Johnny Depp is Alice's old friend, the Mad Hatter. Helena Bonham Carter plays the Red Queen. Anne Hathaway, Michael Sheen, and Stephen Fry also star. "Alice In Wonderland" is rated PG.

Brooklyn's Finest

Ethan Hawke, Don Cheadle, and Richard Gere play "Brooklyn's Finest" on the big screen this Friday. The story centers on three NYPD police officers who become ensnared in a drug investigation. Wesley Snipes, Will Patton, Ellen Barkin and Vincent D'Onofrio also star. "Brooklyn's Finest" is rated R.

Look for Barbra Streisand, Kathy Bates and Charlize Theron to be presenters during next Sunday's Academy Award telecast. The Academy also added Robert Downey, Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Queen Latifah, and John Travolta to the growing list. The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be presented at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on Sunday, March 7th. ABC will televise the ceremony live from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood starting at 7:00 p.m. Central.

Oscar Survey Says...

If the public has its way, Sandra Bullock will receive her first Oscar next weekend. A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows that the actress is the overwhelming favorite for Best Actress. Among those who plan to watch the Academy Awards ceremony, 51-percent want to see her get the nod for her work in the film "The Blind Side." Meryl Streep, nominated for the movie "Julie & Julia," comes in a distant second place with 14-percent pulling for her. Taking third is "Precious" star Gabourey Sidibe with nine-percent. Six-percent like Helen Mirren in "The Last Station," and only one-percent believe the honor should go to Carey Mulligan for "An Education." "The Blind Side" is also the public's choice for Best Picture. A quarter of those polled hope to see the event's top prize go to the inspirational biopic. The James Cameron blockbuster "Avatar" follows as the favorite of 17-percent, while 12-percent believe "Precious" should win.

The public is closely divided over the Best Actor contenders. While 25-percent like Morgan Freeman's efforts in "Invictus," 24-percent would give the nod to Jeff Bridges for "Crazy Heart." George Clooney's performance in "Up in the Air" has won over 17-percent of respondents. Three-percent would give the honor to Colin Firth, nominated for "A Single Man," while two-percent would pick Jeremy Renner from "The Hurt Locker" for the honor. The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be presented at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on March 7th. The ceremony will air live on ABC starting at 7:00 p.m. Central.

Billy Joel is speaking out about the tough year he's had. The "Piano Man" told RollingStone.com he's been through a lot, noting, quote, "There was an incident with my daughter that was very shocking." His daughter Alexa Ray was hospitalized for taking too many homeopathic pills last December. Joel cited other recent challenges as well, saying, "I got divorced. I worked a lot. I promised myself more personal time this year. I'm going to Italy, and I'll probably go to Paris. I'll probably take my boat to New England and hang out on the coast. I'll ride my motorcycle. I'll just be a bum."

Carly Simon has finally ended the 38-year guessing game over who is the subject of her hit song, "You're So Vain." The "Sun" reports Simon solved the riddle by whispering David Geffen''s name backwards in a reworked version of the 1972 song for her new album "Never Been Gone." Geffen, at the time, was the head of Simon's Elektra record label. The lyrics were believed to be aimed at an ex-boyfriend Mick Jagger, Cat Stevens, Kris Kristofferson or Warren Beatty.

2010 Olympics - We're Watching!

Whether figure skating, downhill skiing, or curling was the draw, over one-half of the U.S. population has tuned in for at least some portion of the 2010 Winter Olympics coverage on TV.
