A pair of classic cars formerly owned Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be auctioned off by Bonhams on December 2 in London. Paul McCartney’s 1964 Aston Martin DB5, which he ordered not long after The Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show is expected to fetch between $1.6 million and $2 million He owned the car for about six years, and since selling it, it has been repainted from its original sierra blue to silver. Meanwhile, Ringo’s 1966 Mini Cooper ‘S’ Radford Conversion, which he purchased by Brian Epstein in 1967 and sold in December 1968, is estimated to sell for between $120,000 and $160,000. A couple of Elton John’s former cars will also be sold at the auction.
