According to a new survey, many Americans feel obligated to buy a holiday gift for someone to they’d rather not. 47% of those surveyed felt they needed to buy gifts for those they really didn’t want to give one. 58% of Americans say holiday shopping makes them anxious, with 42% saying not having enough money for gifts is a worry. 21% say they’re clueless as to what to get a loved one, and 11% fear they’ll get their loved one a bad gift. In fact, more than half of those polled admit to shopping blind — that is, not knowing what they’re going to get. Yup, that pretty much sums it up for me.
