As the sometimes deadly flu takes over the U.S., it seems that even man’s best friend is not immune. Canine influenza has infected dogs in nearly every state since 2015. Although it’s different than human flu, it’s spread just the same in a sneeze or cough in close proximity. Dogs that spend time in kennels, dog parks and boarding centers are the most susceptible. The good news is that most dogs will recover without any treatment beyond good nutrition and rest.
