There’s no doubt about it, there are a ton of kids at Family Fest every year. With many vendors catering to kids with games, free candy and even prizes it’s easy to see why the kids love it. It’s kind of funny but even though we list all the vendors at Family Fest – (http://www.wlxr.com/family-fest-to-see/) and even though many people try to make a list of the booths they want to visit the best thing to do is go with the flow.
Your kids will be drawn to the places that interest them, no matter what you put on the list so just go with it. They will definitely want to stop at the Central Animal Stage when some great local performers are doing their thing. The kids will assuredly be drawn to the food booths; the La Crosse Loggers for a Logger Dog and Dippin’ Dots, Famous Dave’s for BBQ (mmmm), Wings from Buffalo Wild Wings (that may be dad’s favorite LOL), and Mexican from Burracho’s Fresh Mexican Grill. And in the center of the arena is the Onalaska Dairy Queen with Ice Cream samples and Dilly Bars. A $1.00 donation for your Dilly Bar goes to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, so great snack and great cause!
Then there’s the booths for just plain fun like the Children’s Museum, the Badgerland Girl Scouts, The Applause Dance Academy, H&H Karate, and so many other booths with games, demonstrations and stuff to do. There will even be a fire truck, police vehicles, ambulances and a K-9 Patrol German Shepherd with really cool demonstration.
And last but not least, the Big Event Company Inflatables… see the picture for some kids doing their ninja thing with the Big E. So remember, this Sunday, February 25th, 11am to 4pm, absolutely free at the La Crosse Center. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Hunger Task Force and don’t forget to stop at the La Crosse Media Booth for free Mount Olympus passes.
See you Sunday at Family Fest!
