A recent study shows that spending time in real natural surroundings is great for unwinding. Stuff like spending time on a beach, walking down a country road, or just hanging out at a national park can bring about higher levels of fulfillment than local green spaces. The experts say visits to these natural environments of more than 30 minutes at a time bring about the most benefit. I’d hike down to the shores of Lake Onalaska on my lunch break, but the sound of freight trains going by kind of ruins the sounds of nature.
