I can’t think of many performers that have received more accolades, males and females included, than Linda Ronstadt. 11 Grammys, 3 American Music Awards, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Golden Globe, an Emmy, 2 Academy of Country Music awards, an Alma Award, inducted into the Rock and Roll, Hall of Fame, 21 top 40 hits, and the first woman to perform to sold out arenas. Not to mention her many gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums. Sadly, Linda Ronstadt was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2012 and can no longer sing. Today’s forgotten oldie reached #7 on the Hot 100 in 1978 and again reminded us how nobody did a cover song like Linda. “Ooh Baby Baby” is today’s forgotten oldie… from the amazing Linda Ronstadt.
