A new study found that people who drink a lot and those who never drink, are more likely to call in sick to work than those who drink in moderation. Those who reported no alcohol use had a higher risk of “sickness absence” mostly due to due to mental disorders, diseases of the digestive system, diseases of the respiratory system and other factors. Meanwhile, high-volume “at-risk” drinkers were also at increased risk of absence due to increased risk of injury or poisoning. The study concluded that moderation is the key and drinking too much is still bad for your health. Duh.
