German researchers have found that yoga boosts your ego. Two groups of people were given various tests that evaluated their level of “self-enhancement” both before and after they’d done yoga or meditated. Results found that the subjects showed more narcissistic tendencies for 24 hours afterwards. This seems to fly in the face of some of the original intentions of yoga and meditation which is to quiet the ego.
