A new survey says two-thirds of 25-34-year-olds used a pen less than five times a week. Taking the place of the lowly pen are text messages and emojis. More than three quarters of people in that demographic say they’ve become dependent on auto-correct for texts and emails. Not surprisingly, more than half said their penmanship has suffered due to lack of practice. As for me, my once beautiful penmanship now looks like I’m writing during a massive earthquake. Either that, or it’s the result of the mass quantities of coffee I consume.
