Minnesota police were busy last month enforcing an anti-speeding campaign. One driver claimed that he was driving 99 mph in a 65 zone because he was trying to get to Taco Bell before it closed. Another driver was pulled over twice in the span of a half hour. The first time his excuse was that he was trying to get air in the truck because his AC was broken. Fair enough. The second time he admitted his guilt. State troopers ticketed more than 14,000 motorists in the July campaign.
