August 20th is National Radio Day, a day set aside to celebrate all the contributions radio has made since it’s origins in the early part of the 20th Century. Think about what radio does to enrich your life. Radio is your constant companion when you travel, when you’re getting ready for work in the morning, when you’re relaxing around a campfire, and even when you’re cruising the Mississippi in your pontoon boat. Radio has been where you heard the music you love, where you’ve heard about things that sparked conversation with friends, and radio is where you’ve heard many of the important news stories of your life.
So celebrate Radio today, listen to your favorite station and recognize your favorite personality. On Social Media use #NationalRadioDay to post your message. And if you’d like to read more about the history of radio, go here.
