Multitasking Illusion!

La Crosse, WI, United States / Eagle 102.7

New research has found that just believing that you’re multitasking can actually boost your performance on that task. For example, test subjects were told that they were performing multiple tasks by watching a documentary and taking notes instead of just taking notes, and they did better on the assignment. Multitasking is often a matter of perception, and many times just an illusion. By making people perceive that what they’re doing is multitasking, their performance of the task is better. Right now I’m multitasking by writing this and drinking yesterday’s coffee at the same time and I can feel it working!
